EVENT : SHOOT TO THRILL

“Who needs sport’s stardom, when you can shoot fireballs from your fingertips?”

RULES:

  • One team per school consisting of three members.

  • Consoles and equipment will be provided.

  • First twenty teams to register will participate.

Got an itchy trigger finger? Have a need for speed? Or are you just in the mood to beat all those who oppose you to a pulp. Grab a couple of your gaming buddies and see how your team fares against some of the city’s best. First place goes to the last team standing. Welcome to Shoot to Thrill, the Invictus gaming event.

EVENT BRIEF:

 

Teams of three from each school will battle it out on the playstation 3 over a series of rounds.

 

Round 1: The initial 20 teams will be divided into groups of 5. 3v3 matches of fifa 14 will separate the pros from the noobs. The team at the bottom of each table will be eliminated.

 

Round 2: The remaining 16 teams will have to put their dukes up in 2v2 tag team matches of Mortal Kombat. The winners of each match will progress. The eight losing pairs will be placed in a league setting where only the team that comes out on top of the pile will progress.

 

Round 3: The final 9 will have to answer the call of duty. Black ops 2 will decide the year's gaming champions. The teams will be divided into 3 groups and each group will take part in multi team matches (3v3v3) of Search and Destroy, Hardpoint and Kill Confirmed. The winning team from each group will take part in a 3 team round robin setting. The last time standing wins shoot to thrill 2014.

Participants are expected to bring their own 3.5 mm Earphones.
